Goals
Set perception targets and track progress toward them with forecasts.
- Set specific targets for perception dimensions
- Track progress with inline progress bars
- See forecasts for when you'll reach your goals
- Monitor narrative drift over time
The Goals tab turns perception data into a tracking system. Instead of just observing scores, you set targets and measure progress toward them.
Summary strip
The top of the Goals tab shows five summary metrics:
| Metric | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Active Goals | How many perception targets you're tracking |
| On Track | Goals where current trajectory meets the target |
| At Risk | Goals where progress has stalled or reversed |
| Avg Progress | Overall completion percentage across all goals |
| Next Milestone | The closest goal to completion |
Goal rows
Each goal appears as a row with:
- Dimension name - Which perception dimension you're targeting (e.g., "Trust & Credibility")
- Current score - Your latest score for this dimension
- Target score - Where you want to be
- Progress bar - Visual progress from starting score to target
- Trend indicator - Whether you're moving toward or away from the goal
Creating goals
Click the + button to add a new perception goal:
- 1Select a perception dimension or category
- 2Set your target score
- 3Optionally set a target date
Goals are saved and tracked automatically across research runs.
Forecast panel
For each goal, Trakkr projects when you'll reach your target based on your current trajectory. Forecasts update as new perception data comes in.
If your trajectory changes (e.g., a content campaign boosts your Innovation score), the forecast adjusts accordingly.
Best practices
Set realistic targets. Moving a perception score from 50 to 60 is achievable in 2-3 months with focused effort. Moving from 50 to 90 requires significant structural changes.
Focus on 3-5 goals. Too many goals dilute focus. Pick the dimensions that matter most to your business.
Review monthly. Perception shifts slowly. Weekly checks create noise. Monthly reviews show real trends.
Connect to actions. Each goal should have a clear content or outreach strategy behind it. Goals without action plans don't move.
