Reading the arena
The Arena is a matrix:
- Rows are your tracked prompts
- Columns are you and your competitors
- Cells show visibility (checkmark, position number, or empty)
Cell indicators
| Indicator | Meaning |
|---|---|
| ✓ or #1 | Mentioned first |
| #2, #3, etc. | Position when mentioned |
| Empty | Not mentioned |
| Green highlight | You're winning this prompt |
| Red highlight | You're losing this prompt |
Identifying battlegrounds
Look for prompts where many competitors appear. These are high-competition battlegrounds where everyone is fighting for visibility.
Battleground characteristics:
- Multiple competitors appearing
- Close positions (no clear winner)
- High relevance to your business
These are worth extra attention in your content and citation strategy.
Spotting opportunities
The Arena helps you find different types of opportunities:
Blue oceans
Prompts where you appear but competitors don't. Expand and defend these.
Low-hanging fruit
Prompts where you're close to winning but not quite there. Small improvements can flip the result.

Filtering the arena
With many prompts and competitors, filtering is essential:
- By prompt type - Discovery, comparison, reputation
- By your status - Winning, losing, missing
- By competition level - Low, medium, high
